MMA Training and Combat Drills in Guwahati
Real training for real results. We focus on the core of MMA—striking, grappling, and the conditioning it takes to handle the pressure of the cage.
The gym is our home. Here's a look at our conditioning drills. We focus on functional movements that build strength and endurance specifically for combat sports.
A recap of our wins at a recent event. More importantly, I talk about the importance of fundamentals. No matter how good you get, you must dedicate time every week to drilling the basics. That is the secret to becoming great.
A look at a typical group class in our Guwahati gym, spoken in Assamese. We cover boxing counters, takedowns, and endurance drills, followed by essential full-body stretching for recovery and injury prevention.
Why do I go to Thailand? For this. The intensity, the technique, the pure love for Muay Thai. I bring this energy and knowledge back to my team at Dojang.
A Diwali celebration the Dojang way. No days off. Here I am doing pad work with one of my top pro fighters, Mridul Saikia. We are always grinding.
On the mats, we drill until it becomes instinct. This is a glimpse into our grappling and BJJ sessions. We focus on control, transitions, and submission setups that work in a real MMA fight, not just in a sport jiu-jitsu match.
A look at our outdoor conditioning sessions. We do sprints and high-volume exercises like pull-ups because combat sports require explosive power. As a coach, I have to be tough to prepare them for the fight.
Shadowboxing to warm up and visualize. This is a fundamental part of every training session, whether in India or abroad.
Pad work session at the famous Yokkao training center in Thailand. I constantly travel and train with the best to keep my own skills sharp and bring back new techniques for my students.

About Inside the Gym: Training & Drills
Most gyms just show you the moves. At Dojang, we make sure you can actually use them. Whether you are here for weight loss or because you want to compete in the next fight league, we start with fundamentals. If you skip the basics, your game falls apart under pressure. I push for consistency over intensity every single time because that is how you actually build a fighter.
Our Approach to Training
I don't believe in shortcuts. You won't find us teaching fancy techniques that look good on camera but fail in a real fight. We build from the ground up, starting with solid footwork, proper striking mechanics, and deep knowledge of grappling transitions.
The Disciplines We Cover
- Striking: We drill boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai constantly. We focus on counter-timing and endurance because having a heavy bag mean nothing if you gas out in the first round.
- Grappling: This includes wrestling takedowns and BJJ. We drill for control and submission setups that actually work in an MMA setting, not just for sport jiu-jitsu points.
- Cage Work: This is where you test yourself. We use our on-site cage to teach wall control and transitions, which is a massive part of the pro journey.
Why Consistency Matters
I see a lot of people quit because they get frustrated when the conditioning gets hard. Combat sports are tough. My job as your coach is to push you through that discomfort so you can handle the reality of a fight. If you are a beginner, don't worry about being 'fit' yet. Bring discipline, and we will build the rest. If you are intermediate, we add the harder drills and live sparring to sharpen your edge.
We train across multiple locations in Guwahati and Bongaiganh, with flexible slots for working professionals. If you are serious about this, you will find your place here.
