Behind the Scenes: My Safe & Gentle Process
Curious about how a newborn photoshoot actually works? Here is a look at how I bring the studio experience to your home, focusing on safety and comfort above all else.
Part 1 of my home session series. See what it takes to pack all the props and gear and travel to a client's home, ensuring I have everything needed for a studio-quality shoot.
Part 2: Unloading and setting up. I bring my entire studio to you. This video shows the process of bringing in all the equipment and props to create the perfect setup in your space.
Part 3: The first setup. Watch me interact with this adorable 25-day-old baby, getting her ready for the pilot-themed shoot. My approach is always calm and interactive.
And here I am with one of the little ones. It's an honor to be trusted with these precious moments, and I love every minute of my job.
About Behind the Scenes: My Safe & Gentle Process
When I am posing a baby, safety is the only non-negotiable. Whether I am shooting in my Navi Mumbai studio or bringing my mobile setup to your home, I never work alone. I always keep a spotter—usually a parent or assistant—right next to the baby to ensure they are secure, comfortable, and never left unattended, even for a second.
The Reality of a Mobile Studio
Many parents ask what actually goes into a home session. It is not just about showing up with a camera. Before I leave for a shoot in Mumbai or Pune, I follow a strict checklist. Packing the right props, Godox lighting equipment, backdrops, and bean bags takes careful planning. My goal is to recreate a studio-quality environment in your living room, which requires about 60 minutes of setup time before we even start.
Prioritizing Your Baby
I always tell parents that the 5 to 15-day window is the 'magic window' for newborn photography. During this time, babies are naturally sleepier and more flexible, which allows me to get those classic, curled-up poses safely. If your baby is a bit older, that is perfectly fine too—I adapt my process to the baby, not the other way around.
Hygiene and Care
Everything I bring into your home is sanitized. I carry multiple wraps and fabrics that are freshly laundered for every session. I know parents worry about cleanliness when a photographer enters their space, and I treat your home with the same respect I treat my own studio. My philosophy is simple: keep it clean, keep it calm, and keep it safe.
