Newborn Photography for Twins & Triplets
Photographing multiples requires extra patience and a safe, steady hand. I focus on gentle, coordinated posing that keeps your babies calm, secure, and comfortably snuggled together.
Three times the love. Here are beautiful newborn triplets, each swaddled in a different warm color, sleeping peacefully side-by-side.

This behind-the-scenes video shows the incredible process of a triplet newborn shoot. It highlights the care, teamwork, and gentle handling required to achieve these rare photos.

About Capturing Multiples: Twins & Triplets
Getting two or three babies to settle at the same time is not just about luck, it is about having the right safe posing aids and a very controlled studio environment. When I photograph multiples, I focus on keeping them swaddled and secure in positions where they naturally cuddle. This keeps them calm for longer periods so we can get those precious, sleepy shots without rushing them.
Safety and Patience First
Photographing twins and triplets is a delicate task that demands a safety-first mindset. My process involves using weighted bean bags and soft, secure fabrics that keep each baby supported individually, preventing any strain on their tiny bodies. Because multiples are often born slightly earlier or smaller, I take extra time to ensure they are warm, fed, and comfortable before we even pick up the camera.
The Magic Window
Just like with singletons, the ideal time for these shoots is when the babies are between 5 and 15 days old. During this period, they are more flexible and likely to stay in those 'curly,' sleepy positions. I work with you to plan the session timing, keeping in mind that we need to account for feeding and soothing breaks for multiple babies.
My Approach to Multiples
I prefer simple, clean setups for twins and triplets. Since the babies themselves are the stars, I use complementary colors and textures that emphasize their bond without cluttering the frame. Whether we are in my studio in Kopar Khairane or I am bringing my mobile setup to your home in Mumbai, the goal remains the same: a calm, stress-free experience that captures these early connections. If you have specific cultural themes in mind, we can definitely incorporate those, but we always prioritize keeping the babies relaxed and settled.
Lakhan Kharatmol
I’m Lakhan, and while I have the technical precision of an engineer to set up safe lighting and props, I rely on a gentle, patient approach when photographing twins and triplets. I don't rush the process, because I know that with multiples, it is the babies who set the pace for the session.
