Then & Now: Capturing Your Baby's Milestone Growth

Many parents return to my Kopar Khairane studio for a milestone session once their baby is sitting up. To get the best 'Then & Now' comparison, I often suggest bringing a blanket or prop from your original newborn session. We can try to recreate a similar pose or simply use the same color palette, creating a visual bridge that highlights their rapid growth over that first year.

The journey from 15 days to 365 days is incredible. As a photographer, I see that shift daily—from the tiny, curled-up newborn stage to the interactive, personality-filled toddler phase.

Why Milestone Photography Matters

Milestone sessions allow us to freeze time when your baby starts hitting those big markers: holding their head up, sitting without support, or standing. While the newborn session (best at 5-15 days) is about capturing that quiet, sleepy magic, the one-year milestone shoot is all about energy and expression.

If you have already done a newborn session with me, we have a head start. We know your style preferences and the colors that suit your baby best. When you book your milestone shoot, mention your previous session. This helps me prepare props and lighting that complement your earlier photos.

My Studio Approach

My studio in Navi Mumbai is set up for both stages. For newborns, we prioritize warmth and stillness. For milestone babies, I focus on safety and engagement—creating a space where they feel comfortable exploring props like wooden crates, baskets, or floral setups. Whether you want a clean, minimalist look or a fun, themed setup, my goal is to give you images that don't just show how your baby looks, but who they are becoming.
