- Setups: 2 distinct concepts (1 Bean Bag/Fabric Flow + 1 Prop Setup with basket/crate).
Styling & Props
- Gear: Use of professional studio lighting and sanitized props.
- Wardrobe: Includes studio collection wraps, fabrics, and simple headwear (floral bands or bonnets).
- Exclusions: No elaborate cultural themes or complex costumes.
Deliverables
- Images: 8-10 high-resolution professionally retouched digital images.
- Files: Digital delivery via cloud link. No raw files provided.
- Family Shots: Limited to 1 basic parent portrait (mugshot style); focus remains 95% on the baby.

- Duration: Extended 3.5 to 4.5 hours session.
- Setups: 3 to 4 concepts total.

I'm Lakhan Kharatmol - engineer by degree, photographer by soul. My approach is all about mixing technical precision with emotion, especially when it comes to newborn shoots.
The Perfect Timing
If you're thinking about newborn photos, I always say the "magic window" is when your baby is 5 to 15 days old. During this time, they're super sleepy and flexible, which means we get those classic, snug poses without stressing anyone out. If your little one is a bit older, don't worry - I can still work my magic, but this window is honestly the best.
My Style & Safety
Being a certified newborn photographer, I’m super careful - safety and comfort come first. I use soft wraps and swaddles, keep things gentle, and work patiently. My style leans towards posed newborn photos, with simple setups that look natural and timeless.
Culture, Creativity & Themes
Bringing our Maharashtrian roots into the studio is my favourite part. From 'Har Har Mahadev' baby shoots (mini Lord Shankar, trishul, damaru) to 'Rajmata Jijabai' saree wraps and Warkari looks, I’ve got loads of local themed props. If you’re after something quirky, how about a Harry Potter setup or a tiny pilot with a globe? There’s a whole stash of creative baby photo props in my studio.

I encourage everyone - parents, siblings, even ajoba-ajji (grandparents) - to hop in for a few photos with the baby. These moments are for the whole family.

My Story
Hey, I’m Lakhan. Engineer by degree, photographer by heart. Mumbai is home, and I love mixing our aamchi (our own) culture into every frame. My favourite? Capturing those first smiles, maternity glows, and turning little ones into Rajmata Jijabai or Mahadev for a day. For me, every shoot is a story, not just a photo. If I’m not clicking bubbas, I’m probably lost somewhere with my camera for my travel blog.
