About Behind the Magic: My Process
Before you decide to book, you should know that I only take a few sessions each month to keep the environment calm. My studio isn't just about the props; it is about following your baby's lead. We never rush through the poses. If your baby needs a feed or a snuggle, we stop and take the time. It is a slow, relaxed, baby-led process designed for safety and comfort, not for speed.
Safety Above Everything
When you see a baby posed in a basket or a heart bowl, it looks effortless. In reality, that is the result of years of training and a dedicated safety assistant. I trained in the US and Canada specifically to learn these techniques, and I maintain that standard in my Mumbai studio. Whether we are using wraps or props, your baby's physical comfort is the priority. I ensure head support is maintained in every single shot, often using composite techniques so the baby is never actually unsupported in a pose.
The Importance of the 7-21 Day Window
Many parents ask why I strictly recommend the 7 to 21-day window for newborn portraits. During these first few weeks, babies are naturally sleepier and more flexible. They settle into the curled-up, womb-like positions that make these portraits so peaceful. As they get older, they become more alert and start stretching out, which makes certain posed shots more difficult and less comfortable for them. By booking within this timeframe, we ensure a smoother, stress-free session.
A Mobile Studio Experience
If you prefer the comfort of your own home, I bring my studio to you. This includes professional strobe lighting, bean bags, and a variety of backdrops. Whether it is a studio session or an in-home shoot, the preparation is the same. I sanitize all props and wraps before your session begins. My goal is for you to feel relaxed while I handle the logistics, so you can simply enjoy these fleeting, early days with your new addition.
