About Timeless Black & White Portraits
Converting a photo to black and white is not just about removing color; it is about how I shape the light. Using my Godox AD400 Pro, I adjust the lighting to create deep contrast that pulls the focus entirely onto your baby’s expressions and the delicate texture of the wraps.
When we remove color, the distractions vanish. What remains is pure emotion. I love monochrome photography because it highlights the things we often overlook in a colorful frame: the tiny creases in your newborn's skin, the depth of their gaze, and the intense closeness of a family embrace.
Why Monochrome Works
I use specific lighting techniques with my Canon R6 setup to create a range of tones that bring out the best in these shots. For cultural themes like my Warkari setup, black and white adds a level of gravitas and history. It makes the details like the rudraksha beads and the traditional tilak pop against the soft fabric, creating an image that looks like it could have been taken generations ago.
Your Session
Whether it is a parent-baby portrait or a detail shot of tiny hands, these images are designed to be framed. We will spend time ensuring the lighting is perfect to capture that soft, moody, and timeless feel.
If you have a specific setup in mind, we can discuss how it will translate to monochrome. My goal is to deliver portraits that feel less like a digital file and more like a permanent memory for your family.
