Step into our South Delhi adda—a cozy, purpose-built home for artists to rehearse, perform, and create. Whether you need a black box theatre for your show or a warm, adaptable studio for a workshop, our space is designed to help your art find its voice.

This is the main reception and waiting area. I wanted to create a sanctuary where artists and guests can relax and connect before a class or show, surrounded by the warmth of our 'adda' atmosphere.
Our library is open to everyone. With over 120 books on music theory, art, and philosophy, it's a quiet corner for avid readers and artists to find inspiration beyond their practice.
A conversation with our Yoga and Breathing faculty in our serene outdoor area. Even the small pockets of green space are designed to contribute to a sense of calm and well-being.
About The Lilanoor Space: An Artist's Adda
This space is not a sterile auditorium; it is a living room for the arts that balances a professional black box setup with the warmth of a local adda. Whether you need the floor cleared for movement and dance or arranged with rugs and chairs for intimate storytelling, the neutral white brick walls and overhead lighting rig adapt to your production. You get the professional audio and lighting infrastructure you need without the rigid formalities of a traditional venue.
A Flexible Canvas for Your Performance
We built this center in South Extension II to bridge the gap between a professional black box theatre and a home studio. Because we are artists ourselves, we understand that you need reliability for your show, but you also need a space that doesn't feel like a cold, empty hall.
Technical Details
- Black Box Setup: The space is designed to be a blank canvas. We have a professional curtain system and neutral walls, making it ideal for everything from raw theatre and poetry readings to film screenings.
- Acoustics & Sound: We have sound-absorbing panels installed to ensure audio clarity. You have access to our PA system, mixing console, and vocal microphones.
- Lighting: An overhead grid with fixed LED PAR cans and a controller is included, allowing you to set the mood whether it is a bright workshop or a moody, dramatic performance.
Usage & Capacity
- Workshops: We regularly host dance, yoga, and actor training. The 1000 sq ft floor can be cleared completely to give your group the space to move.
- Intimate Gigs: If you are a musician or band looking for an acoustic-friendly venue, we provide instruments like a keyboard, tabla, and tanpura on request.
- Seating: We offer a mix of standard chairs and traditional 'Baithak' style floor rugs and cushions, allowing you to choose how your audience experiences the performance.
Our goal is to keep things accessible. Whether you are an independent performer needing a rehearsal spot or a facilitator hosting a weekend intensive, we are here to support your creative process.
