This is the first thing a potential student sees. It shows the full range of what I offer, from the discipline of outdoor training to the intensity of competition. It is a preview of the hard work and the strong community you will join.
Outdoor Training Camps: Train in Nature
I take training out of the dojo and into nature. We hold camps in forests and by rivers, where students of all levels drill Kihon (basics), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring) together. This environment pushes your body and sharpens your mind.
Tournaments: Test Your Skills
I organize and participate in various competitions to test our skills under pressure. These include local events like the All Bangalore Open, specialized Lowkick Tournaments, and even online Kata championships for remote participation.
Kumite: Sparring & Combat Drills
This is where technique meets reality. We practice controlled sparring to improve timing, distance, and reaction. Drills include one-on-one sparring, pad work, and resistance training to build power and speed.
Kata: The Foundation of Karate
Kata is the soul of karate, teaching balance, breathing, and technique. We practice sequences for all levels, from white belt basics to advanced forms for senior belts. This builds discipline and muscle memory.
Grading: Earn Your Next Belt
Grading is a formal test of a student's progress in Kihon, Kata, and Kumite. It is a chance to demonstrate discipline and earn the next belt, marking a new stage in your karate journey.
Strength & Conditioning
Kyokushin requires a strong body and spirit. Our conditioning is simple but hard, using unconventional tools like tires and resistance bands to build raw power, endurance, and mental toughness.
