My Fitness Journey and Dance Practice
Fitness is a personal battle. This is a look at my daily practice, solo routines, and the discipline that fuels every session I teach.
Just me, the music, and the dance floor. This is my time to experiment with new moves and just enjoy the rhythm.
A solo dance reel where I'm just feeling the music. Dance is my ultimate form of self-expression.
A quick solo dance break in the gym. Any space can be a dance floor if you have the right energy.
A short clip of me just grooving. It's important to always find time to move and have fun.
A solo routine filmed for an online class. I put my all into every performance, whether it's for a class or a video.
Practicing some moves at the Shinehot Dance Studio. I'm always working on my craft to bring the best to my classes.
Striking a pose in the studio. It's all about confidence and owning your space.
A quick break during a session. Staying hydrated and taking moments to rest is key to a good workout.
A fun, lighthearted dance moment at home. Even with a busy family life, there's always time for a quick dance.
A solo dance piece showing off some footwork. I love the challenge of learning and perfecting new steps.
About My Fitness Journey
These aren't just random choreographies. In my solo practice, I focus on refining the Kannada and Tamil rhythms that define my Bangalore classes. I break down every beat to ensure that when we hit the studio floor in Richards Town or Hebbal, the energy is consistent, high-intensity, and perfectly synced to the music.
The 'Me vs Me' Philosophy
I believe in practicing what I preach. Before I ever stand in front of a class, I spend hours on my own, pushing my limits. The 'Me vs Me' mantra isn't just a catchy phrase; it is my daily reality. Whether I am training for a marathon or just working on a new routine to a Kuthu beat, I focus on being one percent better than I was yesterday.
Why Practice Matters
Dance fitness is more than just moving to music. It requires stamina, coordination, and a deep understanding of rhythm. When you see me in these videos, I am doing exactly what I ask my students to do: showing up, sweating it out, and finding the joy in the movement.
My practice sessions include:
- High-Intensity Intervals: I blend HIIT with dance moves to keep the heart rate up.
- Regional Integration: I experiment with Kannada and Tamil chartbusters, adjusting the tempo to make sure they work for a group fitness environment.
- Technique Refinement: I ensure every movement is safe, especially for those new to dance or recovering from an injury.
Bringing Energy to Bangalore
All this prep work goes into the sessions I lead across Bengaluru. Whether you are at our Richards Town studio or joining a corporate workshop, you are getting the result of these practice hours. It is about creating a space where you can let go of the daily stress, move your body, and leave the studio feeling like a champion.
