About Proud Winners
It is not just about winning; it is about the confidence they gain during the process. When I mentor them for national-level competitions, we focus on topic selection and composition, which really helps them refine their unique creative voice.
Building Confidence Through Competition
I believe that entering competitions is a great way for students to step out of their comfort zone. Whether it is a national-level online art contest or a local school-level gift card competition, the goal is always the same: to have fun and express themselves.
My Approach to Mentorship
When a student wants to enter a competition, I do not just tell them to draw. We sit down and talk about the theme. We look at references, discuss color palettes, and plan the composition. This process of planning and executing a piece gives them a sense of ownership over their work. It teaches them patience and attention to detail, skills that go far beyond the canvas.
Celebrating Every Win
From a certificate of merit in a school drawing competition to gold awards in national exhibitions, every recognition is a moment to celebrate. We have had students shine in events like the Manikarnika Art Gallery competition and various inter-school art fairs. These moments are huge confidence boosters. They show my students that their hard work, the messy hands from clay modeling, and the hours spent on shading actually translate into something tangible.
If you want your child to learn in an environment where their efforts are recognized and celebrated, I would love to have them in my weekend classes in BTM Layout or at our Sona Vistaas center. We focus on progress, not perfection.
