As an Acharya, I believe dance is knowledge meant to be shared. From structured workshops at Triveni Kala Sangam to instructional books on hand gestures, I bridge the gap between ancient tradition and modern learning.

The cover of one of my instructional books, 'Hastha Prayogaah', which details the vocabulary of hand gestures in Bharatanatyam. My aim with this book was to create a clear guide for students of the art form.

Rehearsals in full swing with my students for our production 'Kalashruti: Sounds of Time'. The studio is where the hard work happens, where concepts are born, and where the guru-shishya parampara truly comes alive.

My beautiful students during a performance. It is my greatest joy to see them blossom as artists and to share the stage with them. I look forward to sharing more about their individual journeys.

After a performance of 'Mix & Match', interacting with the wonderful audience. I believe in making dance interactive, and I always cherish the opportunity to answer questions and share the stories behind the performance.

A group photograph with my talented students after our performance at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. Their dedication and energy are the backbone of all our group productions.

About Author and Educator

My approach to teaching isn't just about mimicry; it's about understanding the 'why' behind every movement. In my sessions at Triveni Kala Sangam, we break down complex adavus into fundamental building blocks, making the classical vocabulary of Bharatanatyam accessible to beginners and seasoned dancers alike.
