Kids BJJ and Self-Defense Classes
I teach children real discipline, confidence, and motor skills through BJJ. We combine fundamental self-defense with fun, engaging activities at our Hosa Road and HSR Layout centers.
With some of my young students at Sai MMA Academy. It's rewarding to see them learn and grow through martial arts. We offer both group and private training for kids.

About BJJ for Kids: Fun, Fitness, and Self-Defense
I don't just teach techniques, I teach discipline through play. We use warm-up games like 'Bulldog' to channel that excess energy, then switch to focused drills like shrimping or back control, so kids develop real body awareness without feeling like they're stuck in a boring classroom.
My approach to teaching martial arts to children is about building a foundation that lasts. Whether they are at Sai MMA on Hosa Road or The Dojo in HSR Layout, I make sure every child learns the value of the 'grind' early on.
We focus on non-violent defense, teaching kids how to control opponents using leverage and holds instead of striking. This is crucial for building confidence without aggression. Every session includes a mix of motor skill development—like headstands, tumbling, and balance work—and structured dojo etiquette.
I keep batch sizes small so I can provide direct supervision. You will see them learning to protect themselves while playing games that keep them engaged and active. It is not just about learning a move like a sweep; it is about learning how to listen, follow instructions, and respect training partners. If you are looking for a place where your child learns to stay calm under pressure and build physical strength the right way, this is it. Avvalothan.
Jagapathi Babu
I’m Babu. I don't believe in shortcuts, and I teach the same to the kids who train with me. Whether it's at Sai MMA or The Dojo, we focus on discipline, hard work, and learning to stay calm under pressure, just like the adults.
