Competition Training and Fight Prep at IJJ
We don't run classes just to make you sweat. This is for those who want to test their mettle in tournaments, under pressure, and against people who are actively trying to win.
We actively participate in the local combat sports scene. This poster is for the Open House tournament, where our grapplers went head-to-head with other top academies to find the most complete team.
It is an honor to receive this kind of feedback from a high-level grappler. It validates our specific and intelligent training approach for the ADCC rule set and proves that our athletes are among the best in Asia.
The pre-roll ritual: slap, bump, roll. This is the moment of mutual respect before the hard work begins. It's a core part of our gym culture and the grappling community.
About Forging Competitors
We don't believe in random drilling. Our competition prep is heavily focused on the ADCC rule set and wall-wrestling. Because the cage changes the mechanics of a fight, we drill takedowns and clinch work specifically for the wall. You will be uncomfortable, you will get tired, and you will learn exactly what works when your adrenaline is high.
Training with Intent
Most gyms teach you how to move. We teach you how to think in a fight. Our competition camps are not about cardio; they are about understanding the 'why' behind every takedown, sweep, and submission. If you are preparing for a tournament, you cannot afford to waste time on techniques that look good but fail under pressure.
The ADCC Focus
Our system is built around the ADCC rule set. Why? Because it forces you to fight for position rather than playing guard for points. We study the leverage points that make a technique efficient. When you train with us, you are not just learning BJJ; you are learning how to dominate a match.
Why Sadashiva Nagar?
Located in our rooftop facility in Sadashiva Nagar, our training environment is stripped of distractions. No AC, no fancy mirrors. Just mats, wall padding, and training partners who will push you. The environment is hot, which forces you to manage your gas tank and focus on technique when you are exhausted.
What to Expect
- Technical Rotation: We cycle through takedowns, positional control, and submission mechanics.
- Sparring with Purpose: Every roll is a chance to test your game against different body types and skill levels.
- Mentality: You will be around people who are competing, which changes the energy of the room. It is competitive, but it is also a squad. We celebrate the wins, but we analyze the losses together.
