Junior Squash Coaching for All Skill Levels
I teach squash to kids starting from age five, helping them build coordination, match play, and tournament readiness in a supportive environment.
I believe in correcting technique early. This video shows a typical technical correction session where I'm helping a young player adjust her racquet swing for better power and accuracy.
Sunday is match day for our junior players. This is where they apply their skills in a friendly but competitive setting, learning valuable game strategy and sportsmanship.
We use fun and effective exercises to develop core athletic skills. This simple ball drill is a great way to improve hand-eye coordination, which is fundamental for racquet sports.

From one-on-one instruction to group drills, our training sessions are varied. Here you can see me working with young players on their form and positioning.
We love celebrating squash together. This video captures the energy of our World Squash Day event, filled with warm-ups, matches, and fun for our junior and senior players.
Warm-ups are an essential part of every session to prevent injuries and prepare the body for intense movement. Here, our junior girls get ready for training with on-court running drills.
About this collection
Getting the basics right—like grip, swing mechanics, and footwork—is non-negotiable for young players. In our sessions, we keep it engaging with agility drills and hand-eye coordination games, ensuring they don't just learn to hit the ball, but understand how to move efficiently on the court before they start full match play.
My approach to junior squash training is built on a simple premise: build a solid technical foundation first, then introduce the pressure of competition. Whether you are looking for an introductory program for a five-year-old or focused training for an aspiring competitive junior, my sessions at Indian School of Sports are designed to grow with the player.
Technical Foundation and Agility
Before we dive into heavy match play, I focus heavily on the mechanics. This includes proper racquet grip, swing rotation, and court positioning. We use specific drills—like boast and drive routines and wall practice—to build muscle memory. To keep things energetic and improve court agility, I integrate ladder drills, cone work, and hand-eye coordination games. This ensures that when a student steps into a match, they aren't just reacting to the ball, but moving with purpose.
Training Philosophy
I believe in injury prevention and holistic development. Every session starts with structured warm-ups and ends with dedicated stretching. For the juniors, this is essential for building a long-term interest in the sport. I work with other certified coaches to ensure that the student-to-coach ratio is manageable, allowing for personalized feedback during group sessions.
Where We Train
I conduct training across key locations in Bangalore, including Indian School of Sports in Bellandur, PLaY Arena in Kasavanahalli, and St. Peter's School in Kaikondrahalli. Each facility allows for a focused environment where kids can learn, play, and meet peers.
Preparing for Tournaments
For those ready to compete, I introduce match play scenarios, internal ladder matches, and mental resilience workshops. Understanding how to handle the pressure of a tournament is a skill in itself, and I guide my students through the tactical side of the game, including opponent analysis and game management.
