Junior Tennis Development for Ages 4–16
We follow the Long-Term Athletic Development model to guide players from their first swing to competitive match play, using age-appropriate equipment to build real technique from day one.
Watch one of our junior players owning the court with precision and style. We focus on building confidence from a young age, helping them turn their passion for tennis into real power and skill.
This is the look of determination. We train our young students to be relentless and chase every shot, fostering a never-give-up attitude that is crucial for success in tennis and in life.
Every young player's journey to the top starts with a single step. Our junior programs are designed to unlock each child's full potential, providing expert guidance in a supportive and motivating environment.
Girl power is on the rise at our academy. We are committed to empowering our young female athletes, helping them build skills, confidence, and the mindset of a champion.
We follow the Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) model to nurture young talent. This means focusing on age-appropriate skills and physical development, ensuring a healthy and sustainable progression in the sport.
Training our young champs is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. We believe sport is a powerful tool for physical and mental development, and we love watching our youngest athletes blossom.
The work continues under the lights. Our evening sessions provide a great opportunity for kids to develop their skills after school in a focused and energetic environment.
About this collection
We don't believe in forcing young players onto full-sized courts before they are ready. We use scaled-down equipment—Red, Orange, and Green balls—because it builds actual hand-eye coordination and rally consistency, rather than just teaching them to scramble for balls they can't effectively reach. This stage-based approach ensures your child develops natural technique and court confidence at their own pace.
Our Pathway for Young Players
We utilize the internationally recognized Red, Orange, and Green ball system to tailor training to your child's physical development:
- Red Ball (The Fundamentals): We use 75% slower foam balls on 36ft courts. This allows children to set up their swing correctly and build a rhythmic rally without the frustration of fighting the ball's speed.
- Orange Ball (Refining Skills): As kids grow, we move to 50% slower balls on 60ft courts. This is where we sharpen footwork, court positioning, and basic tactical awareness.
- Green Ball (Transition): Nearing regulation size, players use 25% reduced-speed balls on full 78ft courts. This bridges the gap to standard play, focusing on control and power generation.
Why the LTAD Model?
Tennis is a complex sport, and rushing the process often leads to bad habits that are hard to fix later. By sticking to the Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) model, we prioritize motor skills—agility, balance, and coordination—alongside racquet handling. It is not just about tennis; it is about building an athlete who can move effectively.
Where We Train
We operate across key locations in Bangalore, including Kothanur, Jakkur, and Electronic City. Each site offers maintained court surfaces designed for safety and consistent play. Whether you are looking for after-school sessions or weekend foundation programs, we focus on high-repetition drills that keep kids engaged, moving, and improving.
Marquis Tennis Academy
We believe in building athletes, not just tennis players. Our sessions are high-intensity, yes, but we focus just as much on footwork and mindset as we do on the backhand. We will push your child to improve, but always with the guidance they need to actually love the game.
