Welcome to my kitchen, where I cook just like I do for my own family. See how your daily meals come to life with fresh ingredients, traditional methods, and zero shortcuts.

The heart of my kitchen: making soft, fluffy Phulkas. Each one is cooked on the tawa and then puffed up on an open flame, ensuring they reach you fresh and warm.

The life of a home chef, where the kitchen and home become one. Here you see a braid of fresh onions hanging in my kitchen, ready to be used in my daily cooking.

Highlighting an Indian superfood, the Water Chestnut or Singada. Here they are, peeled and ready to be cooked into a delicious and healthy sabji.

The final Water Chestnut (Singada) sabji, cooked in a flavourful gravy and garnished with fresh coriander. It's a nutritious vegetable that I love to include in my menu.

Preparing a winter special sabji with a mix of fresh beans like tuar, chana, and val. The video shows the fresh ingredients being cooked with my special homemade masala.

The making of Nimona, a traditional green pea curry from Uttar Pradesh. This moving green palate is a winter delicacy I learned from a dear neighbour years ago.

A week in the life of my kitchen. This video shows some of the dishes I prepared, like Valache Bhirde, and highlights the different meal sizes I offer to suit every need.

About From My Kitchen to Your Home

Since I limit myself to just 35 lunch orders a day, I can personally oversee everything from the chopping of fresh vegetables to the tempering of the dal. You will not find any bulk-cooked batches or artificial additives here; what you see in these photos is exactly how I prepare every single tiffin that leaves my kitchen in Matunga.

My Cooking Philosophy

I believe in the principle that 'Ann he Purnabrahma' — food is the ultimate divinity. When you order from me, you are getting food prepared in a home environment, not a commercial setup. This means I source ingredients as if I were cooking for my own dining table. I do not use preservatives, artificial food colours, or bulk-cooking shortcuts that compromise nutritional value.

Why Small Batches Matter

By capping my service at 35 orders, I ensure that every phulka is fresh, every sabji retains its natural flavor, and every order gets my full attention. This is why I am not available on food delivery apps like Swiggy or Zomato. My 'Ghar ka Khaana' is about building a connection with my foodies and ensuring that the quality remains consistent, whether you order a single daily thali or a family combo for your household.

Traditions on Your Plate

My kitchen is a blend of heritage and health. You will find traditional recipes like Nimona or winter special veggie mixes that I have learned from my mother, grandmother, and neighbors over the years. My goal is to make healthy eating accessible and enjoyable, bringing the comfort of a home-cooked meal right to your doorstep in Mumbai.

I am Hema, and my kitchen is my happy place. I carry forward the recipes passed down from my mother and grandmother, cooking each meal with the same love and care I give my own family. When you order from me, you get food that is truly homemade, right down to the spices.
