Behind the Strings: My Studio Process and Jam Sessions
A look into the raw, experimental side of my music, from late-night practice sessions to the studio moments that define my sound.
A short clip exploring different tones and moods on my Zitar. I often experiment with sounds to create a vibe that's a mix of classical soul and rock spirit.
A late-night jam session with a backtrack. These moments of spontaneous creation are where I often find new ideas and melodic inspirations for my Zitar playing.
A black and white shot from behind, capturing a moment on stage. For me, music is about igniting souls and sharing the magic of live performance.
About Additional Work
When I am in the studio, I treat every session like a conversation between my traditional Varanasi roots and the modern soundscapes of Mumbai. Whether we are capturing the subtle resonance of an acoustic sitar or the punchy, electric vibe of my Zitar, I focus on building layers that fit your specific mix. If you have a track in mind, I work with both remote stems and live studio sessions to get that perfect hook.
The images here capture the moments when the music is still taking shape. My work in the studio isn't just about playing written notes, it is about finding the right texture for the song.
My Approach to Studio Work
I offer two main ways to collaborate. For remote projects, I deliver high-fidelity WAV stems directly to your inbox. This is standard for producers who need that specific, soulful sitar texture or an electric Zitar hook but might be working from a different city or country. I keep the process transparent, sharing raw and processed signals so your mix engineer has full control.
For local projects in Mumbai, I prefer the on-location studio session. There is a different energy when we are in the same room. We can experiment with pedalboards, amplifier settings, and live improvisations in real-time. Whether it is a film score, an indie track, or a devotional album, I can adapt to the vibe of the project.
Why the Zitar Changes the Game
Traditional sitar is beautiful for timeless, emotional melodies, but my Zitar is designed to cut through the noise of modern production. It bridges the gap between Indian classical Raags and the rock spirit often required in contemporary Bollywood and fusion music. I don't believe in over-complicating things. Kya baat hai, sometimes the simplest melody played with the right tone is exactly what a song needs to come alive.
