Performing Alongside India's Music Legends

Music is about connection. Here are some of the incredible artists I have been fortunate to share the stage and recording studio with.

A pre-gig click with the one and only Shankar Mahadevan Ji. Performing with him is always a masterclass in music and showmanship.

Blessed to have shared the stage and performed with the legendary flutist, Pandit Ronu Majumdar Ji. His mastery over his instrument is truly inspiring.

In Chennai with the legendary singer Hariharan ji. Working with him on his concert was an unforgettable experience.

With the versatile and brilliant musician Ranjit Barot ji during the concert in Chennai. His energy and musical vision are incredible.

Another picture from the Chennai concert with Hariharan ji. His soulful voice combined with the strings of my sitar created pure magic on stage.

With a fellow talented musician from the incredible band assembled for the Hariharan and Ranjit Barot concert in Chennai.

A collage of two very special moments, receiving blessings from musical gurus. These encounters are the pillars of my musical journey.

About this collection

Sharing the stage with artists like Hariharan ji or Shankar Mahadevan is less about the spotlight and more about the discipline required to match that level of artistry. When you book me for a session or event, you are getting that same professional standard, whether I am bringing out the traditional sitar for a classical piece or plugging in the Zitar for a high-energy fusion set.

My journey is not just about performing. It is about listening and adapting. Every collaboration, from the big stage at a Chennai concert with Ranjit Barot to intimate studio recording sessions, has taught me how to blend into a larger soundscape without losing the unique voice of the sitar.

Whether you need a featured soloist for a film score or a live performer for a corporate event, I approach the task with the same technical rigour I developed during my PhD at BHU. My gear is prepared for both: I carry a concert-grade acoustic sitar for those moments that demand soul and history, and a fully equipped Zitar rig with delay and reverb pedals for tracks that need a modern, punchy texture.

I do not just turn up and play. I listen to the track's scale, understand the producer's vision, and work to find that specific riff or hook that elevates the final output. If you are looking for someone who understands the nuances of Indian classical Raags but is not afraid to break the rules for a fusion project, let's talk.

I am Hardik, and I believe music thrives in the space between tradition and experiment. I bring my Varanasi roots and PhD training to every project, but I am just as comfortable hitting the stage for a fusion set or laying down Zitar tracks for a Bollywood score.
