About Live Sitar & Zitar for Events
My Style: Classical Roots, Rock Energy
I play the Sitar and Zitar, and my music is a mix of Varanasi’s old soul and Mumbai’s new vibe. My base is pure Indian classical (PhD waala depth), but the Zitar - my electric sitar - helps me break loose and add punch to any event.
What I Play
- Pure Indian Classical: Traditional raagas like Hameer, Malkauns, Charukeshi set a calm, elegant mood.
- Instrumental Bollywood sitar music: I cover popular tracks, from "Laal Ishq" to "Pehle Bhi Main", and keep things fresh.
- Indian classical fusion band: With my Zitar, I bring in drums, guitars, keys - perfect for high-energy scenes.
- Devotional and spiritual: Soft chants like "Hare Rama Hare Krishna" for peaceful gatherings.
Performance Options
- Solo: Just me, Sitar or Zitar, for intimate feels.
- Sitar jugalbandi with tabla or flutist: Classic duet vibe.
- Trio/Ensemble: Add Santoor, Sarangi for a fuller sound.
- Full Band: My fusion band, live and loud for a concert experience.
My Journey
I’ve played everywhere from Jio World Centre to G20 Summits, and even for the PM. Toured the USA, Dubai, and appeared on Zee Saregamapa Li’l Champs. Music ka asli maza tab aata hai jab sab milke enjoy karein (the real joy is when everyone enjoys together).
Quick Note: Sitar vs Zitar
- Sitar: Acoustic, soulful, classic Indian sound.
- Electric zitar performance: Custom effects, fits rock and fusion settings - never gets drowned out, always stands out.

My Story
Hey, I’m Hardik. Born and raised in Varanasi, so my sitar kinda carries that city’s soul. Did my PhD in Music from BHU, got deep into raags and all that jazz. Mumbai’s pace made my music evolve - one day I’m with Raag Kedar, next day I’m plugging in my Zitar for some Bollywood madness. Played everywhere – US, Dubai, Singapore, even jammed with Kapil Sharma ji. Music’s my thing, whether it’s meditative or full-on rock spirit.
