Featured Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture Projects
A strategic look at our urban development work, from municipal policy frameworks and large-scale master planning to people-centric public realm designs across India and abroad.
We are creating a sustainable, livable, and inclusive community in the heart of Garneau with the Altairus residential project. This car-free development prioritizes people over vehicles, featuring subsidized transit passes and extensive bicycle facilities to foster a truly transit-oriented lifestyle.
We collaborated with the City of Edmonton to shape its future through the District Policy and 14 District Plans. Our team developed a robust GIS mapping framework to create over 100 thematic maps, providing the visual and data-driven foundation to guide development and infrastructure investment for years to come.
For the Summer Village of Sundance Beach in Alberta, we crafted a customized Land Use Bylaw to balance community priorities with environmental stewardship. This project involved creating new zoning districts and streamlined permit processes to protect the Pigeon Lake ecosystem while simplifying development.
The Metro 78 project in Edmonton exemplifies our expertise in transit-oriented development at an underutilized LRT station. This rendering showcases the north building, part of a car-free design that promotes equity in housing and transportation while integrating seamlessly with the surrounding community.
Our work is about creating spaces where communities can thrive. During a Pedestrian Day event in Pune, a simple street became a canvas for creativity, demonstrating how people-centric urban design can foster joy, interaction, and a sense of belonging for residents of all ages.
The Belgravia Heights project is a key part of transforming an LRT station into a vibrant, walkable, transit-oriented community in Edmonton. This development promotes a sense of place through thoughtful urban design, integrating commercial services and public spaces to boost neighborhood vibrancy.
Our "ONE TEAM ONE VISION" philosophy comes to life in dynamic brainstorming sessions like this. We use collaborative tools like mind mapping to bring together diverse perspectives, ensuring our project visions are innovative, comprehensive, and aligned with our collective goals.
Our mission is to make urban India greener and healthier. We design and implement projects that prioritize eco-friendly landscapes and green infrastructure, helping cities adapt to climate challenges and promoting the well-being of their communities.
About Featured
Our work in this portfolio goes beyond standard site planning. For projects like the City of Edmonton’s District Plans, we utilized a custom GIS mapping framework to generate over 100 thematic maps. This data-heavy approach allowed us to visualize infrastructure density and land-use patterns, providing a concrete foundation for municipal policy that ensures long-term resilience rather than just immediate aesthetic improvements.
Our Approach to Urban Resilience
We specialize in translating complex urban data into actionable designs. Whether we are conducting a Land Potential & Feasibility Study or developing a master plan for over 5 acres, our goal remains the same: creating places where people belong. Our design process starts with deep-dive technical mapping—analyzing sun paths, wind vectors, and existing transit connectivity—to ensure every development is sustainable from day one.
Core Areas of Expertise
- Transit-Oriented Development (TOD): We integrate high-density living with public transit access. Our projects, like Metro 78, demonstrate how to reduce carbon footprints by creating car-free zones and maximizing the efficiency of LRT nodes.
- Policy & Zoning: We bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and project potential. Our team provides liaison support and strategic assessments to navigate municipal DCR (Development Control Regulations) and land-use conversions.
- Public Realm & Streetscapes: We design streets that prioritize the human experience. From ROW (Right-of-Way) optimization to the selection of native, pollution-tolerant vegetation, our streetscape designs balance pedestrian safety with vehicular circulation.
Why Partner with GSA?
Our footprint spans over 3000 acres across 20 Indian states and international markets. We don't believe in cookie-cutter solutions. Every site has unique micro-climate challenges and community needs. By bringing together diverse perspectives—from policy experts to landscape architects—we ensure that our planning delivers economic value for developers while contributing to a healthier, more inclusive city environment.
Green Space Alliance
We are Green Space Alliance, or GSA for short. We focus on making Indian cities livable, not just pretty on paper. Whether we are drafting a master plan or working on a municipal policy, we work as one team to turn abstract data into real, resilient spaces.
