Master Planning and Landscape Urbanism Projects

We believe large-scale projects succeed when they are as detailed as a garden and as connected as a city. We design integrated townships and public landscapes that weave green corridors with daily community life.

An animated master plan for Ensaara ITP in Bengaluru, showing the evolution from a simple circulation network to a rich landscape with a 'Flowering Tree Loop' that gives the township a unique identity.

Details from the Ensaara master plan, highlighting specific design elements like seating coves for social gathering and mounds with pathways that create a varied and engaging pedestrian experience.

This render for the Tricone City extension in Indore illustrates our streetscape design, featuring dedicated cycling lanes, pedestrian walkways, and green buffers to create safe and pleasant mobility corridors.

About this collection

When we map out a township or lakefront, we don't start with roads, we start with movement. We obsess over where a flowering tree loop should meet a seating cove so that the space is not just planned, but truly inhabited. Our goal is to create green frameworks that invite people out of their homes and into the shared life of their community.

Our Approach to Macro Design

Designing at the township and city scale requires a shift in perspective. We move beyond static master plans to create living, breathing environments. Our methodology is rooted in three key pillars:

1. Movement and Connectivity We prioritize pedestrian-first networks. By analyzing how people move within a site, we create seamless loops—cycling paths, jogging tracks, and walking trails—that connect residential blocks to amenities without relying on vehicular corridors.

2. Ecological Integration Large-scale planning is our chance to restore natural balance. Whether we are planning bioswale parks for stormwater management or preserving green buffers, we treat the landscape as essential infrastructure rather than decoration. Our work on projects like the Sembakkam Lake rejuvenation proves that ecological restoration can coexist with public utility.

3. Socially-Driven Zoning We categorize open spaces based on human behavior. From 'Entry Greens' that welcome residents to 'Active Greens' for sports and 'Quiet Zones' for reflection, every acre is assigned a purpose. In our Indore 'Nature in Pockets' project, we utilized 18 distinct park types to ensure every resident, from children to seniors, has a meaningful social anchor within their immediate vicinity.

The Process

We start with deep research into the site's sociology and existing contours. We facilitate workshops to understand what the community actually needs. Once the vision is set, we develop the hardscape drawings, planting grids, and furniture layouts. We stay involved in the process, providing periodic site supervision to ensure the design intent is realized, down to the last stone mosaic pattern.
