My approach starts with a 30-minute virtual consultation where we align on the reference photo and the emotions you want to highlight. Because I work in oil or acrylic, I build the portrait layer by layer over several weeks to ensure it captures not just the likeness, but the specific spark in your eyes or that smile you love.

Whether it is a candid wedding shot or a formal family portrait, the goal is to create something that feels personal. For couple portraits, I pay special attention to the textures of jewelry and clothing to add depth and realism. For family pieces, I can merge multiple photos if you do not have one perfect group shot, making sure everyone looks natural together in the composition.

I use heavy-duty cotton or linen canvases and finish each piece with archival varnish to protect against UV and dust, ensuring the painting lasts for generations. Since I work from my studio in Mumbai, I pack every piece with multiple layers of acid-free paper, bubble wrap, and corrugated boxing to ensure it reaches you safely across India.

I do not take shortcuts. A single commission can take anywhere from 65 hours to several weeks because I want to ensure every detail, from skin tones to eye glints, is just right. If it is not perfect, I redo it. That is simply how I work, and I am grateful for the chance to paint your stories.
