About Custom Portrait Paintings
I’m back in my Mumbai studio after my break, and honestly, it feels like home again. Painting is my way to freeze emotions on canvas - not just faces, but real, lived moments. There’s nothing like seeing someone’s reaction when their custom portrait lands in their hands.
What I Paint
- Hand-painted photo portraits from any photo that means something to you
- Individual, couple, and full family portraits (hyperrealistic family painting is my jam)
- Memorial tribute art for those you miss, or formal pieces for mentors and public figures
- Big or small - I’ve done 30"x36" all the way to massive 5.5-foot canvas statements
My Process
- I work mainly in oil and acrylic, all by hand - no shortcuts
- Realism and hyperrealism are my thing; I get obsessed with details like skin tones, little glints in the eyes, that one quirky smile
- A single painting can take anywhere from 65 hours up to a few weeks. If it’s not perfect, I redo it. Simple
- Everything starts with your photo, and I build up the painting layer by layer until it’s just right
Some Real Talk
- I ship from Mumbai and pack every piece with lots of bubble wrap and a little bit of Mumbai’s humidity (just kidding, I try my best!)
- 2025 commissions are open, but I only take on what I can give my full attention to
- Yeh kaam dil se karta hoon (I do this work from the heart)
Let’s turn your best memories into something you’ll want to look at every day.

My Story
Hey, Palak here from Flourish Art! After a long break for motherhood, I’m back in my happy little studio, paint all over my hands, heart full of new stories. Art runs in my family, and I’ve painted for some really special folks - even my dad’s mentor. My niece sometimes crashes my workspace, so don’t be surprised if you spot a tiny hand in the background! Thanks for sticking around and cheering me on.
My Work
What I paint - I create original oil and acrylic paintings - hyper-realistic portraits, custom couple portrait commissions, spiritual Buddha art, landscapes, florals, and abstract pieces.
My style - Love realistic and hyper-realistic portrait painting, but also play with palette knife floral painting and patchwork abstract art. Always up for a challenge.
How I work - I share my process - from first layer to final stroke. It’s like watching a story unfold on canvas.
Commissions for 2025 - Open for custom work, big or small. Let’s make something that means something to you.
