About Safe Sparring & Combat Drills
We don't just throw kids into a ring. Every sparring session here is strictly supervised and fully geared. We focus on 'light-contact' drills where the goal is mastering timing, distance, and control, not hitting hard. It’s how we teach them to protect themselves while respecting their training partner.
Sparring is often misunderstood. Many parents worry about injuries, but at Fit and Fight, we treat sparring as a chess match, not a brawl. It is the ultimate test of everything a student has learned—distance management, reaction time, and emotional control.
Our protocols are designed for maximum safety:
- Full Protection: Students always use chest guards, headgear, and other safety gear during practice.
- Light Contact Rule: We teach 'touch' sparring. The objective is to tag the opponent with precision, not power. This builds control rather than aggression.
- Constant Supervision: One of us (Aakash or Prashanjeet) is always on the mat, officiating the practice to ensure technique remains sound and emotions stay in check.
This approach allows even younger kids to participate without fear. By the time they finish a session, they have learned to breathe, react, and respect their opponent. These are skills that translate directly into better focus in school and daily life. Whether your child is new to martial arts or ready to step up, we provide the environment where they can learn to fight their own battles with a clear head.
