Our Scientific Approach to Athletic Training
We combine medical data with hands-on coaching to help athletes train harder, recover faster, and stay injury-free. This is how we build a strong foundation for every athlete we train.

This is a key part of our physical assessment, allowing us to analyze movement patterns, identify biomechanical inefficiencies, and establish a baseline for performance tracking and injury prevention.
Here you can see a one-on-one online physiotherapy consultation in progress with our expert, Dr. Sameer Mangwani. We conduct thorough virtual assessments to understand an athlete's medical history and current concerns, making our expertise accessible no matter where you are.
A coach provides hands-on correction to a group of athletes holding a forearm plank. Proper form is critical for core stability, and our coaches ensure every athlete engages the right muscles to build strength effectively and prevent posture-related injuries.

Meet our lead physiotherapist, Dr. Sameer Mangwani. With a Master's in Sports Physiotherapy and experience interning at SAI, Mumbai, he specializes in creating programs that help athletes become injury-free world champions.
The ultimate goal of our process is an injury-free workout routine. We use data from your medical and physical assessments to modify your training, targeting weak spots and building resilience so you can train with confidence.

About Featured
Before we design any workout, our physiotherapists and coaches huddle to review your clinical profile. We don't guess your limits based on a generic fitness chart; we use data from your biomechanical assessments, range of motion tests, and injury history to build a plan that challenges you without pushing you toward injury.
At DSSA, we treat injury prevention as the cornerstone of athletic performance. Whether you are a competitive sprinter or someone looking to get fit, your journey with us starts with objective data, not assumptions.
Why We Start with Assessment
We conduct a thorough medical audit to understand exactly how your body moves. This includes a review of your injury history, vitals check, and specific physical tests like the Cooper VO2max run for cardiovascular endurance and ball toss drills for neuromuscular control. We also look for mechanical imbalances like pelvic tilt that might seem minor now but cause significant issues under heavy training loads.
The Coach-Physio Huddle
Once we have your data, our team of physiotherapists and athletic coaches collaborate. This integration is vital. While a coach pushes you for performance, a physiotherapist ensures the volume and intensity of your training remain within your body’s safe capacity. We identify your weak zones, such as VMO strength or core stability, and integrate corrective exercises directly into your training sessions.
Sustainable Results
Our goal is to build injury-free athletes. We don't just provide a program and leave you to it; we monitor your progress, modify routines based on your recovery feedback, and teach you how to listen to your body. From manual therapy and sports taping to progressive resistance training, we provide the tools to ensure your training remains consistent and sustainable in the long run.
We operate out of St. Dominic Savio High School in Andheri East, Mumbai, and offer virtual consultations for those outside our immediate vicinity.
