Strength & Power Training for Kabaddi Players
Build the raw strength and stamina you need for the mat. We use natural ground drills, tire training, and high-intensity conditioning to ensure your legs and core never give up during the match.
This video demonstrates the correct and incorrect form for lunges. We focus on proper technique to maximize lower body strength in the glutes and quads while preventing knee injuries.
A look at our circuit-style leg workout. Players go through a series of drills including ladder jumps and cone hops to build stamina and explosive power for both raiding and defending.
We use simple but highly effective equipment like tires for a full-body workout. These drills improve strength, coordination, and the functional fitness required for Kabaddi.
Long jumps over tires are a key exercise for developing the explosive power needed for a successful raid. This drill trains players to cover distance quickly and efficiently.
Here, a player practices a high jump over a tire. This specific drill is designed to improve a player's vertical leap, a crucial skill for escaping ankle holds and executing jump touches.
This is a continuous jump drill using tires to build leg muscle endurance and plyometric strength. The goal is to maintain power and form even when fatigued, just like in a real match.
About Strength & Power Training
In our training, you won't find fancy gym machines because that is not how a real Kabaddi match is won. We focus on functional, raw strength—using tractor tires for back stability and heavy sand-ground sprints to build the endurance needed for the final raid. If you want to stop getting exhausted in the last five minutes of the game, this is where you build that engine.
Why Power Matters on the Mat
Kabaddi is a high-intensity sport. When you are raiding or holding a defender, you need explosive power that comes from your core and legs, not just gym-isolated muscles. Our Strength & Power training is built to make you an all-rounder athlete, capable of sustaining high energy throughout the match.
Our 'Mitti' Training Philosophy
We train on natural soil because it provides natural resistance, which strengthens your ankles, knees, and hips in ways a synthetic gym floor simply cannot. Our conditioning program includes:
- Tire Flips & Carries: Excellent for building back, shoulder, and core strength, mimicking the resistance of a strong tackle.
- Functional Plyometrics: Using stacked tires for jumps to improve your vertical leap for escaping holds.
- Circuit Drills: Non-stop sequences of lunges, ladder drills, and sprints designed to max out your stamina.
What to Expect
This is for players who are serious about their game. We do not just train for fitness; we train for match-day performance. Whether it is improving your dash or ensuring your legs do not give up during a long raid, our routine ensures you are physically ahead of the competition. If you are ready to put in the work and sweat it out, come join us on the ground.
Surender Singh
Kabaddi is in my blood, and I believe a champion is built from the ground up. We do not believe in fancy gyms; we believe in sweat, grit, and the raw power you get from training right here on the mitti.
