Sport-Specific Conditioning and Athlete Training
General gym workouts are fine for health, but they won't make you a better athlete. I design conditioning programs that build explosive power for your specific sport, whether it is Kabaddi, cricket, or track.
I specialize in creating strength and conditioning programs for elite athletes. In this clip, I discuss my approach to training Pro Kabaddi players, focusing on understanding the game's specific demands to enhance player performance and prevent injuries.
To dominate in Kabaddi, you need explosive power. I break down key gym exercises for Kabaddi players, including the deadlift for overall strength and hang power cleans for explosive power on the mat.
Theory is nothing without practice. An outdoor strength and conditioning practical session, where we apply training principles in a real-world setting to improve agility, speed, and power.
A crucial part of any athlete's journey is the fitness assessment. Here, we're conducting practical tests outdoors to measure baseline performance and track progress over time.
About Pro-Athlete Conditioning
Most athletes make the mistake of assuming that heavy gym lifts automatically translate to field performance. You can deadlift heavy and still be slow on the mat if your movement mechanics are off. I analyze the biomechanical demands of your sport and build a program that fixes your weak links, ensuring your strength actually transfers to your game.
Training for Your Sport, Not Just the Gym
Being a better athlete isn't about how much you can squat or bench press. It is about how much of that power you can use in a split second on the field. My approach to pro-athlete conditioning is rooted in sports science and my own experience competing as an international CrossFit athlete.
How We Work
- Initial Biomechanical Assessment: We start by identifying your movement imbalances and injury risks. If you have tight hips or a weak posterior chain, we fix that first before adding heavy loads.
- Sport-Specific Blocks: Whether you need explosive vertical jumps for Kabaddi or rotational power for cricket, I customize the training blocks. We use Olympic lifts like the Snatch and Clean & Jerk to build raw power, but we teach the technique from the ground up using PVC pipes and empty bars first.
- Data-Driven Progression: I don't guess. We log your lifts, track your recovery, and use video analysis for form correction. If a movement pattern is flawed, we address it until it is efficient.
Why This Matters
In the fitness industry, there is too much noise. You see random workouts on Instagram that promise 'Hulk' strength but ignore the basics of recovery and sleep. My goal is simple: I want you to be a durable athlete. We prioritize injury prevention because the most dangerous thing for an athlete is being benched due to a preventable injury.
If you are serious about leveling up, I am here. We train at my facility in Dwarka, and I work with athletes across Delhi NCR. Come ready to put in the work.
