About Meet The Baker: My Story & Process
Every cake I bake starts with your story. Whether you have a clear vision or just a vague idea, I take the time to sketch and conceptualize the design so it fits your celebration perfectly. I love the creative back-and-forth because it ensures the end result is not just a dessert, but a centerpiece that truly reflects you.
My journey began back in 2004 at the Out of the Blue restaurant in Mumbai, where I started supplying desserts. It has been a long, eventful 20 years since then. Many people ask about my name, Bunty. It is actually a nickname that stuck despite my father-in-law's best efforts to change it. Yes, I am a woman, and I have loved baking since I was a teenager making treats for my mother's kitty parties.
Now, Deliciae is a family affair. I work closely with my son to balance my passion for creative baking with the business side of things. This partnership allows me to focus on what I love: the creative process. Whether it is a multi-tiered wedding cake or a themed birthday surprise, I am the one sketching the designs and overseeing the fine details like wafer paper ruffles or edible lace.
Expanding to Bengaluru has been an exciting new chapter for us. I believe every celebration deserves a cake that tastes as good as it looks. My focus has always been on being an honest brand.
