About In the Studio: Classes & Workshops
Most people assume you need to be a gymnast to start, but you really just need to be curious. My sessions focus on safe, steady progress, breaking down climbs, inversions, and flows so you feel confident and comfortable in the air, rather than just pushed to perform.
Training with a Focus on Process
I teach at several locations across the city, including BoulderBox in Vasant Kunj and Grip&Grab in Saket. The philosophy in my classes is simple. We train hard, but the environment is meant to be friendly and slightly goofy. If you are a total beginner, we start with conditioning and basic climbs on silks before moving to anything more complex. For those looking for a specific challenge, we work on aerial hoop spins and static poses, or even niche disciplines like hair suspension for the truly adventurous.
Safety and Gear
Safety is never an afterthought. Every session includes professional 8-12 inch crash mats, and we emphasize hands-on spotting for all inversions. You will learn the mechanics of the apparatus, knot-tying, and rigging basics as part of the process. It is about building a foundation that lasts, rather than rushing toward a flashy trick.
What to Expect
Whether you join a drop-in session or a four-week structured course, you get time to practice at your own pace. I often allocate time for students to film their progress, as seeing your own movement is one of the best ways to improve. If you have been flying for years or have never touched an aerial silk, there is a place for you here. Come as you are, and let’s see what you can do.
