Step into my little green escape in Kalyan. This is where I shape clay, sip chai, and find a bit of calm away from the city noise.

As the monsoon says goodbye, my little green garden has a wild, rustic charm that I secretly love. This is the view from my studio, my happy place. It’s a constant source of inspiration and a peaceful backdrop for my creative work.

About My Studio, My Sanctuary

This is not a rigid classroom where you need to get things perfect on your first try. It is a quiet, garden-facing corner where we prioritize the process over the output, meaning you can expect a very relaxed pace, lots of clay to experiment with, and fresh chai while you work.

When I set up this space in Kalyan, I wanted it to feel less like a school and more like a retreat. The studio looks out into a small garden, which helps me—and hopefully you—slow down. Pottery is a tactile, slow process that forces you to unplug from constant notifications and focus on the mud in your hands.

Whether you are coming in for a casual weekend session or committing to a longer foundation course, the environment is the same: unhurried and informal. You do not need any prior experience to join. We handle everything from the initial slab or coil work to the messy business of glazing and kiln firing. My approach is rooted in hand-building, as I find that organic, slightly asymmetric shapes feel more human than what you get from a machine. It is just you, some tools, and enough clay to get it right. If you are looking for a place where you can make mistakes without judgment, and maybe get a bit of dirt under your fingernails, this is the spot.

I’m Lidwin, and this little studio is my way of sharing the calm I find in clay. I built this space to be a creative adda where we can switch off from our screens, drink some chai, and make things with our hands. Whether you’re a total beginner or just looking for a mindful escape, I’d love to guide you through your first piece.
