BJJ and MMA Competition Training
We don't just train for the sake of it; we test our limits on the competition mat. Whether it's the ADCC or local grappling leagues, our tribe steps up to see what they are truly made of.

About this collection
Competition isn't just about the medal hanging on your wall, it is about the hours of live rolling and drilling you put in before the event. When we prep for tournaments like the ADCC, we run a focused block that simulates fight pressure, helps you refine your takedowns, and fixes those technical leaks that only show up when a resisting partner is trying to pass your guard. It is the ultimate test of your technique, grit, and mental game.
Growth over Glory
Many gyms focus on the shiny hardware, but at Crosstrain, we look at the process. Stepping onto the mat at a tournament like the ADCC India Open is a mirror. It reflects exactly where you are in your journey—not just your skill level, but your emotional control under pressure. Cheezein samjho bas (understand the concepts). If you are stiff when the pressure is on, that is a technical gap we need to drill.
How We Prepare
When we enter a competition cycle, the training changes:
- Specific Sparring: We move away from flow rolling and into high-intensity, specific scenarios that mimic match conditions.
- Technical Leak Plugging: Tournaments expose bad habits. We identify them in live sessions and break them down so you don't repeat the same mistakes.
- Conditioning: You can have the best technique in the world, but if your gas tank is empty after three minutes, it won't matter. We integrate wrestling conditioning to ensure you can execute when you are tired.
Is Competition for You?
Whether you are a white belt doing your first ever grappling match or a seasoned fighter chasing the podium, the mat is the great equalizer. You don't need to be a pro to compete. You just need the courage to sign up, show up, and hold yourself accountable. If you are ready to stop talking about training and start testing it, come find us.
