About Curated Workshops & Talks
What We’re About
At Courtyard Koota, we’re not just ticking off another event on the calendar. Our space is for those who value good stories, fresh ideas, and the magic that comes from learning together. Curiosity, creativity, and collaboration guide what we do. Every session is more than a class - it’s a full-on experience.
What Happens at Koota?
Our days are always packed with something different. You might find yourself:
- Getting your hands messy in interactive art workshops like pottery, Shibori dyeing, or learning tribal art forms (no art degree needed, just jump in!)
- Losing yourself in Carnatic music, Odissi or Lavani dance workshops, sometimes not understanding a thing in the beginning, but phir se suno bhai (listen again, friend), it grows on you
- Sitting with authors who talk about everything from healing to relationships, or catching a local culture talk on Bangalore’s history, wildlife conservation, or even why sugar matters
- Teaming up with strangers for a Jigsaw Jam, or sharing food and stories at our potluck-style meetups - naavu idhivi (we’re here) to make everyone feel at home
Who Shows Up?
Honestly, anyone who’s curious. We’ve got stuff for kids, adults, and everyone in between. You don’t need any fancy background - most of our hands-on creative events are made for first-timers.
The Koota Feel
It’s cozy, relaxed, and sometimes a bit chaotic. We provide all materials for beginner-friendly craft classes, so just bring yourself and an open mind. If you’re looking for a place to try new things and meet people who care about the same, this is it.

My Story
Hey, Courtyard Koota here. We didn’t just put up walls and call it a day. This place grew from a wild idea - a space for stories, art, and folks just wanting to connect. Natasha kicked things off, Sridevi keeps the vibe alive, Nanu’s our in-house everything-guy, and Khushi’s the glue. Seven years in, we’re still a mixed bag, always buzzing. We shape this space, and it shapes us. Makkala Masti for kids, open doors for all. Pull up a chair, there’s room.
