This was my very first solo performance, a moment where I truly felt obsessed with the new, confident version of myself. My dance fitness classes are all about helping you find that same feeling of self-love and empowerment.

Back to Street Jazz after more than three years away. It felt amazing to move like this again without triggering my old knee injuries, all thanks to the guidance of an experienced instructor. This is the kind of mindful movement I bring to my classes.

This choreography was a challenge, especially with the pirouettes that used to scare me because of my knee. With proper training from a knowledgeable instructor, I was able to perform it safely. I teach these same techniques to my students.

About Dance Fitness: No Experience Needed

If you think you need a dance background or perfectly healthy knees to start, I’m here to tell you that’s a myth. I created these sessions specifically for people who feel intimidated by mainstream studios. Whether we’re doing a Bollywood fusion routine or some low-impact Street Jazz, the focus is entirely on smart, joint-safe movement that feels like play rather than a workout.

I spent years away from the dance floor because of multiple ACL tears. That frustration is exactly why I teach the way I do. You won't find high-impact jumping or aggressive choreography here that leaves your joints aching. Instead, we use a mix of Zumba, Bollywood, and Street Jazz adapted for real people.

I’m Deepa, and I’m not your typical fitness trainer. After tearing my ACLs, I had to stop dancing for years, which taught me how to rebuild movement safely. Now, I help others do the same by keeping things fun, low-impact, and totally stress-free.
