Olympic Lifting: Building Power with the Clean & Jerk
Master the clean, the jerk, and the thruster. Learn to move heavy loads safely through technical drills and consistent form correction.
"Jump and land karke hold kara karo." This is my coaching in action during a 3-position clean drill. I provide constant feedback to refine every part of the lift, from the floor to the catch. My focus is always on reinforcing correct movement patterns to build a strong, safe foundation.
The hang clean is a staple in our program for developing explosive power. These videos showcase a variety of our members, from beginners to advanced, executing the lift. We emphasize a powerful hip drive and a quick, solid catch in the front rack position.

About Olympic Lifting: Building Power with the Clean & Jerk
In my classes, we don't just add weight to the bar; we fix the movement path first. Whether you are working on a 3-position clean or the final overhead press, I will be right there calling out 'Jaldi mat kar' (don't rush) to ensure your form is solid before you push for a personal best.
Olympic weightlifting is a test of precision. When we train the Clean & Jerk, we aren't just trying to move a heavy barbell from point A to point B. We are building a movement pattern that integrates your entire body.
The Anatomy of the Lift
My sessions break this complex lift into three movements: the deadlift, the squat clean, and the overhead press. We focus on the pull, the shrug, and the catch.
- The Pull: We start from the floor to build power through the glutes and hamstrings.
- The Transition: We use the 3-position clean drill to ensure you hold your position through the mid-shin and mid-thigh phases. This is where I often remind you to 'Pakad ke rakhiye position!' (Hold the position!).
- The Jerk: Finally, we refine the overhead drive, using your legs to power the bar rather than relying solely on your shoulders.
Why Technique is Everything
If you rush the clean, you lose the bar. That is why our basement facility in Sushant facility is equipped with dedicated wooden lifting platforms and rubber matting. I prioritize your safety and long-term joint health above ego lifting. We utilize drills like the hang clean to force you to generate explosive power from the start.
Whether you are a beginner learning the basics or an athlete prepping for competition, my coaching focuses on scaling the volume to your current level. Strength training here at BodhXfit is not about quick fixes. It is about understanding the mechanics of a snatch or a jerk so you can lift with confidence for years to come.

I’ve spent most of my life in the gym, scribbling sets and reps into my training diaries. At BodhXfit, we don't just chase numbers; we build the technical foundation so you can lift with confidence. I’m here to coach you, spot your form, and push you to hold that position until you nail the lift.
