The Deadlift: My Foundation of Strength
The deadlift is my weapon, my discipline, and my signature. Whether you are aiming for your first pull or hitting a new PR, we focus on technique, mindset, and raw power.
This is what it feels like to be a powerhouse. Pulling 320kg for reps surrounded by an incredible crowd. The energy in the room fuels the lift. This is the peak performance we train for.
My best deadlift personal record. After recovering from a serious back injury, I am on the path to coming back stronger than ever. This journey shows that with patience and smart training, you can overcome setbacks.
A 325kg deadlift for 3 reps. This was one of my all-time favorite lifts, fueled by the unreal hype from the crowd. This is just the beginning of what's possible.
A 320kg deadlift during a practice session. Consistent, heavy training is the only way to build the strength needed to perform on the competition platform.
An unexpected 320kg deadlift on a day I was supposed to be resting. Sometimes the mind is willing even when the body is tired. With the blessings of Bajrangbali, the weight moves.
A 360kg (792 lbs) block deadlift. Block pulls are an excellent tool for overloading the top portion of the lift, building a powerful lockout and getting your body accustomed to handling heavier weights.
Another 300kg block pull. We use block pulls to specifically target and strengthen the lockout phase of the deadlift, which is often a weak point for many lifters.
About this collection
You aren't here to just stare at the bar; you are here to fix your leverage. In my sessions at Balarka Fitness, we dissect your deadlift mechanics—whether you pull conventional or sumo—and use specific tools like block pulls to target your weak lockout points. Whether you are chasing your first 100kg or pushing towards a 300kg+ deadlift, we treat every training block as preparation for the competition platform.
The deadlift is the purest test of strength. It is not just about the weight on the bar, but the mindset you bring when you step up to it. In this cluster, I share how we build that foundation.
Why Technique Matters
Before you go heavy, you must master the movement. I focus on real-time form correction—adjusting your hip height, bar path, and grip to ensure you are safe and powerful. My in-person coaching at Balarka Fitness in Jayanagar utilizes specialized gear you won't find in commercial gyms.
Training Beyond the Basics
We don't just pull from the floor. I incorporate block pulls to overload your lockout phase, a common sticking point for many lifters. We look at everything:
- Bar Path Efficiency: Minimal wasted energy means more weight moved.
- Mindset & Focus: Drawing strength from faith and discipline, similar to my own 360kg block pull training.
- Recovery & Programming: We manage CNS fatigue so you aren't just training hard, but training smart.
For Online Athletes
If you aren't in Bengaluru, my online programming provides the same level of attention. We use video analysis via WhatsApp to critique your form. I provide 4-5 day schedules tailored to your available equipment, whether you are training for your first strongman comp or trying to fix a plateau in your deadlift. If you have the hunger, I will guide you through the process.
