Look at the detail in this North Indian thali. I love recreating the textures of each dish, from the creamy paneer butter masala to the fluffy rice and soft paratha. It’s a feast for the eyes.
Watch how a simple piece of clay is transformed into a delicious South Indian breakfast. This video shows the process of making the banana leaf and all the tiny dishes that make it a complete meal.
For the fast-food lovers, I create these fun miniature McDonald's meal combos. They make for perfect fridge magnets and bring a smile to everyone's face.
My miniature cakes are perfect for celebrating any occasion. This collection shows the variety I can create, from a three-tiered floral wedding cake to a rich red velvet heart.
The beauty of nature in miniature. I take pride in crafting these hyper-realistic vegetable baskets, capturing the vibrant colours and textures of everything from carrots and onions to tiny coconuts.
Carry your favourite food with you! I turn my miniatures into unique keychains, like these featuring a full South Indian thali, chole bhature, and idiyappam. They are a wonderful gift for any foodie.
About this collection
Every piece you see is sculpted by hand from air-dry clay, never using factory molds. I finish each miniature with a protective varnish, making them durable enough to use as fridge magnets or keychains. If you spot a dish that brings back a specific memory—like your grandmother’s rasam rice or a street-side vada pav—I can often recreate it for you as a custom piece.
I started making these miniatures twenty years ago because I wanted to hold onto the emotions tied to food. Whether it is the translucent look of sambar achieved with epoxy resin or the specific texture of a crispy dosa, I focus on the small details that make the food feel real.
My collection spans across different culinary worlds:
- South Indian Classics: From banana leaf meals to idiyappam, these pieces are designed to capture the comfort of home-cooked food.
- North Indian & Street Food: I recreate the vibrancy of chaat, pani puri, and thalis, focusing on the rich colours and varied textures of these dishes.
- Global & Guilty Pleasures: Tiny burgers, Maggi packets, and branded chocolates that bring a smile to anyone's face.
Because I do not use molds, every piece has its own personality. I seal them with high-grade varnish, so they are water-resistant and built to last as functional magnets or keychains. If you are looking for a gift that feels personal, I can work with you to create a specific miniature set—perhaps a replication of a favourite family recipe or a beloved meal. If you are interested in the craft itself, I also teach these techniques through my online courses, which are designed to be beginner-friendly with lifetime access to recordings.
