About this collection

Our advanced programs offer more than just lectures; they provide a rigorous pathway for serious study, often affiliated with the FPMT Basic Program. When you join these courses, you gain lifetime access to high-quality session recordings, detailed digital commentaries, and study materials that allow you to review complex topics like the Heart Sutra or Bodhicaryavatara at your own pace alongside our guided group discussions.

Studying classical texts requires a guide who can bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and our daily experience. At CKSL, our sutra studies are facilitated by Geshes and senior monks from the Sera Jey Monastic University, ensuring an authentic transmission of the teachings. Whether you are exploring the line-by-line commentaries of the Bodhisattvacharyavatara or the profound wisdom of the Heart Sutra, our sessions are designed to move beyond theory.

How We Study

We structure these courses to be manageable but thorough. You will find that most modules run over 8 to 12 weeks, providing a container for consistent practice.

  • Hybrid Participation: Attend in-person at our Domlur centre to engage directly with the Sangha or join via Zoom if you are joining from outside Bangalore.
  • Comprehensive Resources: We provide soft copies of root texts and course slides, ensuring you have what you need to study outside of teaching hours.
  • Certification Opportunities: Many of our advanced courses are part of the FPMT curriculum, offering the chance to earn completion cards, which serve as helpful markers of your progress.

A Space for Inquiry

These courses are for anyone looking to transition from foundational knowledge to a deeper investigation of the path. We prioritize an environment where asking questions is encouraged—through direct Q&A sessions and group discussions, you can clarify doubts and discuss how these ancient texts apply to modern life. We welcome you to bring your curiosity and dedication to the table.
