We believe every child deserves to celebrate without the stress of overwhelming environments. Our sensory-friendly events create space for children to have fun, connect, and just be themselves.

We partner with PVR Nest to create special sensory-friendly movie screenings. This poster for the film 'Flow' invites families to a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where every child can enjoy the magic of cinema.

This poster provides all the details for our sensory-friendly screening of 'Flow' at PVR Premiere in Saket, Delhi. We make it easy for families to join us for an inclusive and fun movie experience.

Our sensory-friendly screenings are designed to ease anxiety with soft lighting and reduced sound. We aim to encourage social interaction in a non-judgmental environment and nurture emotional growth through thoughtful storytelling.

To ensure your child's comfort at our movie screenings, we encourage bringing familiar items, talking through the movie beforehand, and supporting them to take a break if needed. It's all about creating a feeling of safety.

At our PVR screenings, we lower the volume, keep the lights on, and set up a sensory corner for breaks. We thoughtfully choose a movie our kids will love and prepare them ahead of time for a great experience.

This video captures the joy of our sensory-friendly screening for Autism Acceptance Month. With lower volume and the freedom to move, children can just be themselves. It shows our commitment to making sure we are all in this together.

As part of Autism Acceptance Month, we organized a special movie screening for the community. This collage shows children enjoying the film in a comfortable setting and our team who made the inclusive event possible.

Sometimes plans change, but the magic stays. When one film was unavailable, we quickly arranged another wonderful, sensory-friendly movie, 'Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile', ensuring the special experience continued for our families.

Our Diwali Melas are a perfect example of inclusive celebrations. We replace crackers and chaos with food stalls, games, and skits. Therapists are always around for support, ensuring every child can participate and have fun in our sensory-safe spaces.

Christmas at Children First is all about community. Families and therapists donate gifts, a friendly Santa delivers them, and we have a puppet storyteller and food stalls. It's a warm space for kids to connect, with support always around.

About Inclusive Community Events

When we host a screening or a festival, we do not just clear a space. Our clinical therapists are present at every gathering to ensure the environment remains sensory-safe. Whether it is lowering volume levels at a PVR screening or swapping out harsh dyes for natural colours during our Holi celebrations, we manage the sensory details so you can focus on simply enjoying time with your child.

Why Sensory-Friendly Matters

Traditional public events often involve loud music, flashing lights, or crowded spaces that can be overwhelming for neurodivergent children. At Children First, we redesign these experiences to remove sensory barriers. By partnering with venues like PVR Nest and controlling the environment—lowering volumes, keeping lights dimmed, and establishing quiet zones—we make community outings accessible and enjoyable.

Our Approach to Celebration

We believe that inclusion means everyone participates on their own terms. Our events are not just about entertainment; they are therapist-led spaces where children can practise social engagement without the pressure to perform or follow rigid social rules.

  • Festivals: Our Diwali Melas replace loud crackers with games and food stalls, while our Holi celebrations use safe, natural colours to prevent sensory discomfort.
  • Movie Screenings: We host regular sensory-friendly cinema mornings where children can move, fidget, or step away to a sensory corner without judgment.
  • Sharing Circles: Through programs like 'Safarnama', we offer safe spaces for youth to connect and share stories, fostering a sense of community outside of traditional therapy settings.

Supporting Families in Delhi NCR

These events are designed to reduce the anxiety often associated with family outings. By attending, you are joining a community of parents and professionals who understand the importance of nervous system regulation. Our team is always on-site, providing the necessary support so that families can focus on connection and joy rather than managing potential meltdowns or exclusion. Whether you are looking for a weekend activity or a way to build your child's social confidence, our calendar offers diverse, inclusive opportunities throughout the year.
