About Animal Rescue & Adoption
Every day, we’re out there trying to make the city a bit kinder for street dogs, cats, and all those that don’t have a voice. Some days are tough - seeing animals in pain is never easy. But when a rescue ends in adoption, it’s all worth it.
What We Do
- We run an emergency rescue for street animals across Bangalore. If you spot an injured or sick animal, our ambulance is ready, but we need you to stay there till our team reaches - it really helps.
- At our trauma centre, we patch up and rehab animals. Once they’re better, we release them back if that’s best for them, as per the law. That’s ‘Release Day’ - feels good seeing them run free.
- Our shelter is meant for 160, but we’re usually packed at 175+. Sometimes, we have to say, “Sadyakke nimmalli jaaga illa” (Sorry, we don’t have space right now). We hate it, but we can’t risk spreading infections. If we can’t help, we’ll try to guide you to another vet or shelter.
Adoption & Second Chances
- We’ve always got Indies, puppies, kittens, and older dogs waiting for homes. Every adoption is a chance at a new life.
- Indies are smart, tough, and perfect for our climate. Don’t skip over the oldies - they’re calm, grateful, and make great family members.
- Our adoption process isn’t instant. There’s a chat, a bit of screening, and help to make sure you and your new buddy are a good fit. No gifting pets - adoption is a big decision.
If you’re looking for responsible pet adoption in Bangalore or want to hear some Indie dog adoption stories, you’ll find both heartbreak and hope with us.

My Story
We are CARE. Life here starts with a phone call—sometimes it's 'ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಸರ್, ಹೇಳಿ?' (Hello sir, tell me?), and there's panic because an animal is hurt. We want to say yes every time, but with 175+ animals, sometimes we're just full, and that hurts. Some days are rough—abandoned dogs, kittens stuck, illegal wildlife trade. But then we see school kids learning kindness, shy dogs finding comfort, Foxie, adopted and sleeping like a princess. That’s why we keep going. We’re a community—rescuers, doctors, volunteers, adopters—believing every animal deserves a happy ending.
