Our obstacle course training involves a variety of challenges. Here, students practice navigating monkey bars and other swinging obstacles to build grip strength and endurance.
This is our "devil's staircase" obstacle. It requires immense upper body strength and coordination to move from one hold to the next, a true ninja challenge.
About Obstacle & Ninja Training
The biggest misconception about this training is that you need elite gym-bro strength to conquer our obstacles. Whether you are attacking the 15-foot Warped Wall or the Salmon Ladder, it is 80% technique and 20% power. We focus on teaching you the precise grip, foot placement, and momentum shifts required to clear these challenges safely before you ever try to go fast.
Train Like a Ninja
Ninja training is about more than just getting fit. It is about understanding how to move your body through space. At our HSR Layout studio, we strip away the traditional gym environment and replace it with a playground designed for functional power.
Why Technique Matters
Many people walk in and try to brute-force the Warped Wall. That usually leads to frustration. We break every obstacle down into digestible progressions:
- The Warped Wall: Learn the correct approach, jump initiation, and the final reach. We provide crash mats and spotting to keep you safe while you learn.
- Salmon Ladder: This requires explosive pulling power. We start you on lower rungs with resistance bands to build the necessary coordination and grip strength before you attempt full hangs.
- Devil’s Staircase: A test of upper body endurance. We teach you how to shift your weight and control your swing so you do not burn out halfway through.

This is a high-skill environment. We maintain a focus on safe, progressive learning using industrial-grade airbags and thick foam padding. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced athlete, our coaches ensure you master the movement patterns before pushing for speed.
