When you are grabbed, there are no rules. We train you to use your knees to strike vulnerable areas like the groin. This is about creating an opportunity to get away safely.
Your attacker's hands are where the danger comes from. We teach situational awareness as your first line of defense, training you to watch for threats before they happen.
Your voice is a tool of power. We teach you how to use a verbal command or a powerful scream to deter an attacker, draw attention, and signal that you are not an easy target.

About Self-Defense Essentials for Women
You don't need a black belt to stay safe. In our 12-session course at our Banashankari gym, we strip away the fancy, cinematic moves. Instead, we teach you how to use your own body—elbows, knees, and even your voice—to create space and get to safety when you feel threatened.
Most self-defense advice you see on social media is for the movies. We teach you what actually works on the street. Our curriculum focuses on high-percentage, low-skill moves—the kind you can pull off when your adrenaline is spiking and you need to escape, not win a trophy.
The BOLD Approach
We break down self-defense into three distinct layers:
- Awareness: Your best weapon is noticing danger before it gets close. We train you to watch hands, not eyes, and manage your surroundings.
- Physical Mechanics: You will learn to use your strongest tools—elbows, knees, and palm heel strikes—against an attacker's vulnerable points like the throat or groin.
- The Exit Strategy: We are not training you to fight; we are training you to leave. Every drill, from wrist escapes to hair-pull defenses, is designed with one goal: breaking contact so you can run.
What You Can Expect
This is a non-AC, functional environment. You will sweat, you will feel uncomfortable, and that is the point. We simulate stress so that if a real situation happens, your body already knows the reaction. We have a 12-session intensive course that covers stand-up striking, ground survival, and situational drills. If you are short on time, our weekend crash courses cover the absolute essentials to get you started. No experience is required, and we have a zero-judgment policy. If you are a student, a working professional, or just want to feel like you can handle yourself, this tribe is for you. We don't care about your fitness level when you walk in; we care about your growth when you walk out.
