My Daily Practice: Healing Yoga Routines in Bengaluru
Yoga is my anchor through life's ups and downs. This is a look into my personal practice and the simple reminders that keep me grounded, showing how healing starts from within.
"Believe in yourself." This is more than just an affirmation; it is the foundation of healing. This video captures a moment from my personal practice, reminding you that there is a strength inside you greater than any obstacle.
Start your day with intention. This is my 15 minute morning yoga stretch routine, designed to awaken the body and energize your spirit for the day ahead. All you need is a mat, a small stool for support, and a little bit of your time.
Even after a long gap, the body remembers. This is a look into my personal stretching session, using the wall for support in backbends and hamstring stretches. I am always grateful for how my body responds when I return to the mat.
About My Daily Practice & Reminders
You don't need a fancy studio to find your flow. My personal practice often uses simple props like a wall for backbends or a small stool for support, which makes the postures accessible even when you're stiff or recovering from an injury. These small adjustments are how we make yoga work for our bodies instead of forcing our bodies to fit the pose.
Healing is a Journey, Not a Race
We often think yoga is about perfect, deep stretches, but real healing is about showing up for yourself, even for fifteen minutes. My daily practice keeps me steady, especially during tough times. Whether I'm using a wall to deepen a stretch safely or taking time for breathwork, the goal is always to move without pain.
Why I Use Props and Walls
Many of us hold tension in our necks, shoulders, and lower backs from long hours at a desk. In my Bengaluru home sessions, I often teach students how to use the wall for support during standing poses or backbends. It provides stability, allows for a deeper release, and ensures you aren't straining your joints. It is about working smarter, not harder.
Real Yoga, Real Life
- Consistent Routine: A 15-minute morning flow can do more for your energy levels than an occasional, intense hour-long session.
- Safety First: If you have cervical spondylitis or knee pain, we modify everything. We use props to bridge the gap.
- Mental Clarity: It’s not just physical. Some days, my practice is just sitting and breathing. The asanas are the tool, but peace is the destination.
If you're in Bengaluru and looking for a way to start or get back on the mat without the pressure of perfect poses, let's connect. I am here to walk that path with you, one day at a time.
