Yoga Therapy for Joint Pain & Stiffness in Bengaluru
Healing isn't about pushing into a perfect pose, it's about listening to your body. I combine gentle therapeutic movements, breathwork, and lifestyle shifts to help you manage pain and regain mobility, right in the comfort of your home.
If you are struggling with knee pain, you are not alone. In this video, I demonstrate two simple and gentle exercises to help strengthen the muscles around the knee joint. Remember to move slowly and listen to your body; healing is a gradual process.
Shoulder stiffness can be incredibly limiting. This clip shows a part of a one on one yoga therapy session focused on releasing tension in the upper back and shoulders. We use subtle, targeted movements to gently restore mobility and ease discomfort.
Our hands and feet do so much for us. This video demonstrates simple finger and toe stretch exercises using a rubber band to improve mobility and grip strength. These are especially beneficial for anyone experiencing arthritis, numbness, or carpal tunnel syndrome.
Heel pain, like the bony bump from Haglund's deformity, can be very painful. Therapeutic yoga plays an important role in managing the symptoms by gently stretching the surrounding muscles and reducing inflammation. This video explains the condition and shows supportive movements.
About Pain Relief for Joints & Body Aches
When we start, I don't just jump into an asana. We spend our first 75 minutes together on a full physical assessment—checking your range of motion and identifying exactly where the stiffness starts. Whether it's nagging knee pain or chronic shoulder tension, I build a plan around what your body needs today, not some cookie-cutter routine.
My approach is rooted in the belief that 'Jo ho achha'—whatever happens, is for the good. Healing is a slow, steady journey, and my goal is to guide you through it, one day at a time.
My Therapeutic Approach
I don't offer general yoga classes here. This is specific therapy for those dealing with persistent physical limitations.
- Initial Diagnostic & Relief: We start here. I assess your range of motion and provide immediate, gentle therapy for neck, knee, or back pain using assisted props like blocks and belts. This helps us understand what your body can safely do.
- Chronic Recovery (12-Session Module): For recurring issues like arthritis or PCOS, we work in a structured 4-week program. This allows us to progress from simple chair-assisted movements to more restorative floor asanas, ensuring we don't aggravate your condition.
- Senior Wellness: My work with seniors focuses on fall prevention and gentle joint mobility. It is a slow, meditative practice designed to improve balance and sleep quality, often involving family members in the process.
Safety Pehle (Safety First)
I always advise consulting your doctor before we begin. My sessions integrate Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, and subtle exercises (Sukshma Vyayama) to release tension without the risk of overexertion. Whether you are dealing with Haglund's deformity, cervical spondylitis, or simple desk-job aches, I am here to help you move with less pain and more freedom. We practice at your home in Bengaluru, making it easier to integrate these changes into your daily life without the hassle of travel.
