Youth Athletics Strength and Conditioning Training
Strength is the foundation of speed. We build the base that makes our runners faster, more stable, and injury-proof right on the track.
The work doesn't stop when the running is done. Core work and conditioning are crucial for stability and power, and our athletes put in the effort after every session.
Outdoor training at its best. We use our environment for dynamic warm-ups, beach runs, and core circuits on the turf. Fitness is about moving your body anywhere, anytime.
About Building a Strong Foundation
We don't just run laps. We focus on explosive power and stability using plyometric drills and core circuits. Whether we are at Wings Sports Centre or Jamnabai grounds, our athletes learn to move with purpose using hurdles, resistance bands, and bodyweight movements that translate directly to better track times and fewer injuries.
Building the Athlete
True speed comes from more than just running ability. It comes from efficient mechanics, core stability, and the capacity to produce explosive power. Our strength and conditioning program is designed specifically for young athletes, aged 7 and up, who want to excel in track and field or simply want to become stronger, more confident movers.
How We Train
Our sessions are not random workouts. We follow a structured approach to ensure physical development:
- Sprint Mechanics: We work on start stances, drive phases, and stride efficiency using resistance parachutes and video analysis where possible.
- Explosive Power: Utilizing plyometric movements, box jumps, and hurdle drills to build the fast-twitch muscle fibers required for sprinting and jumping.
- Agility: Using ladders and cone drills to improve coordination, reaction time, and balance.
- Core Conditioning: A strong core is the anchor for every movement. We integrate bodyweight circuits—planks, leg raises, and rotational work—to prevent injury and maintain posture during high-intensity training.
Why It Matters
At our Juhu and Bandra training locations, we see many young athletes who are talented but lack the functional strength to handle high-volume training. By introducing controlled resistance and structured movement patterns early, we help them develop long-term athletic health. Our goal is to ensure that when they step onto the track for a school meet or a state-level competition, they have the physical capacity to match their competitive spirit. Whether training for a 100m sprint or building endurance for a 600m run, the focus is always on quality movement first.
Be Fit
I’m Brinston, and at Be Fit, we treat every session like a building block for the next big race. We push hard, we sweat, and we keep it focused so every kid finds their own pace!
