Strength & Conditioning: The Foundation of Fast Miles

byRun With SiddTraining across Delhi NCRView full gallery

Stop focusing only on miles. If you want to run faster without breaking down, you need to build the functional power and injury resilience that actually sustains long-distance performance.

From fatigue to fierce. Strength isn't just a supplement to running; it's the strategy that keeps you going. This is where we build the resilience needed for marathon season, with core workouts, push-ups, and functional exercises.

Running alone is not enough. To stay injury-free and run stronger, we focus on mobility, core, stability, and power. Our outdoor bootcamp sessions are where we build the essential foundation for every runner.

We go back to the roots of strength with traditional Indian exercises like Dand and Hanuman Dand. These movements build functional strength, flexibility, and endurance that modern workouts often miss, creating a truly resilient runner.

Think you're working hard? Slow push-ups separate the ordinary from the extraordinary. This is about time under tension, building real muscle mass and strength that translates directly to your running performance.

This is the one-rep push-up challenge. It’s a full-body sequence that tests your strength, coordination, and control. This is the kind of dynamic workout we use to build complete athletes, not just runners.

This is what building a warrior looks like. A group push-up drill where we move as one. The synchronized effort builds not just individual strength but also the collective discipline of the tribe.

It doesn't feel like work until it does. That's the moment that defines you. Here, we push through the burn with dumbbell squats, side lunges, and core work. Every rep brings you closer to your goal.

About this collection

We don't lift weights just for show. Every session targets glutes, core stability, and ankle mobility specifically to bulletproof your body against the high-impact stress of marathon training. You will be on the ground in a local park, using tires and battle ropes, learning how to handle real-world fatigue. It's not optional, it's the strategy that keeps you running while everyone else is sidelined with shin splints or IT band issues.

Why Strength Training is Non-Negotiable

Running long distances is a brutal test of endurance. If you are just logging miles, you are a ticking time bomb for injury. My program isn't about gym vanity; it's about movement efficiency. When your core collapses at kilometer 30, that’s when form falls apart and injuries happen. We rebuild that foundation.

Our Methodology: Function Over Form

We train outdoors in Sector 55, Gurugram. No climate-controlled gyms here—we train in the fog, in the heat, in the reality of the Indian climate.

  • Traditional Movements: We incorporate Dand (Hindu push-ups) and Hanuman Dand to build organic strength, mobility, and balance. These movements build resilience that modern, static gym workouts often miss.
  • Functional Loads: Using tires, battle ropes, and resistance bands to simulate the resistance of a hard run, ensuring you have the power to conquer hills and maintain a strong finishing kick.
  • Prehab Protocols: We address common runner ailments like shin splints and IT band syndrome before they become chronic issues.

Who Is This For?

This is for the athlete, not just the casual runner. Whether you are prepping for the Tata Mumbai Marathon, the Berlin Marathon, or just want to survive your first 10K without chronic pain, this program prepares your body to handle the volume. You get a periodized plan that peaks with your race calendar. If you are tired of quitting and ready to put in the actual work, welcome to the tribe.
