Training on sand is a different beast compared to pavement. The shifting surface forces you to engage stabilizing muscles you did not know existed, and our focus is on building explosive power while minimizing joint impact. It is exactly why you will see us using resistance bands and plyometric drills right here on the shore to get you race-ready.
Why We Train on Sand
If you are used to a gym or a track, the sand at Juhu Beach will be a wake-up call for your legs. The unstable terrain acts as a natural resistance tool, increasing the calorie burn and forcing your core and ankles to work twice as hard to maintain balance. What a Session Looks Like
We do not do repetitive, boring machines. Our sessions are built around:
- Sand Drills: Hill repeats and short sprints that build explosive power without the harsh impact of asphalt.
- Functional Circuit Training: We use bodyweight movements like squats, lunges, and planks, often amplified with resistance bands to push your endurance limits.
