About Karate & Martial Arts Classes
What Karate Means to Me
Karate isn’t just punches and kicks – it’s how I live. I keep telling my students, “Every Black Belt was once a White Belt, who just didn’t give up.” If you’re looking for something that pushes you, that makes you tougher every day, you’re in the right place.
How I Teach
I train folks to be strong inside and out. We do a bit of everything:
- Focus on Kata and Kumite training (forms and sparring, not just for show – it’s the real deal)
- Karate belt progression through regular grading – yellow, green, brown, and finally Black Belt if you stick with it
- Real self-defense, especially for women – practical stuff that works if needed
- Martial arts fitness conditioning, so expect serious drills for speed and strength
Who Can Join?
Kids, teens, adults – doesn’t matter. Everyone’s welcome. We’re more like a family here, and I love knowing where you’re from. Sometimes I’ll ask, “Elli mane nimdu?” (Where’s your house?) – it’s my way of connecting.
Compete and Grow
I believe in testing yourself. We train for local and national competitions, but honestly, it’s about learning, not just winning. If you want to work hard and stay strong, jump in.

My Story
We are Bangalore Budokan, but honestly, we feel more like a big karate family than an academy. Karate for us? Not just kicks, not just belts. It’s a mindset. We started with a dream to build a tribe, and now, seeing students like Nikhil go to Nationals or Sensei Sharan bring home trophies, that's what keeps us going. Our dojo’s everywhere in Bangalore - always with our students, through thick and thin. Oss.
My Work
What we offer - Traditional karate classes, martial arts, practical self-defence training, women’s self-defence workshops, corporate sessions, summer camps, and advanced referee seminars.
Who can join? - Anyone. Kids, adults, seniors – age is just a number. Our dojos are all across Bangalore. Elli mane nimdu? (Where’s your house?) We’re probably close by.
How we train - We focus on discipline, hard work, and real-world preparation. Not just for belts, but for life. You get tougher, but you also get better.
Our BBK community - We train together, win together. Our students compete and succeed in state and national championships. Come, be part of the BBK family.
