Holistic Yoga Therapy and Healing Programs
A look into our approach to wellness, combining therapeutic yoga, traditional healing, and personalized guidance for your physical and mental transformation.
This is a demonstration of Moxa Cupping, an advanced Ayurvedic therapy we offer. The gentle heat from the herbal stick, combined with suction, provides deep healing that is a hundred times more effective than standard cupping for detoxification, pain relief, and managing conditions like sciatica and cervical spondylosis.
With the right guidance, anything is possible. Here, we are using a chair as a prop to help a student safely deepen their backbend, building spinal strength and flexibility. We always say, "never say it won't happen," because with consistent effort and expert support, you can overcome your limits.
We provide gentle and safe prenatal yoga for expecting mothers. This video demonstrates the Butterfly Pose (Baddha Konasana), a simple yet effective asana that can be practiced throughout all trimesters to improve flexibility in the pelvic region and prepare the body for childbirth.
This is a real story of healing from one of our members. She came to us with shoulder impingement and limited mobility, and after just one month of targeted yoga therapy, she has regained movement, reduced pain, and experienced overall wellness benefits.
A glimpse into one of our group sessions where students practice Viparita Karani, or the legs-up-the-wall pose. This restorative asana is excellent for improving circulation, relieving tired legs, and promoting a sense of calm, making it a wonderful practice for anti-aging and relaxation.
Your yoga sadhana (practice) is a personal journey, and our role is to help you advance to the next level. Here, an instructor provides hands-on assistance to ensure proper alignment and safety in an advanced backbend, making complex postures accessible.
Our approach to healing is holistic, integrating various practices for complete well-being. This includes Ayurvedic Potli massage for pain relief, dynamic yoga for strength, and guidance on nutritious food to heal your body from the inside out.
Pranayama, or breathwork, is fundamental to our practice. This video shows a demonstration of Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing), a technique that calms the nervous system, purifies energy channels, and brings clarity to your thoughts.
About Featured
Yoga is not for the flexible, it is for the willing. In our studio, we use props like wall ropes, chairs, and blocks to make difficult postures accessible. This ensures that even if you are dealing with stiffness or chronic pain, you can safely explore your limits and find healing at your own pace.
At Ayukshema, we move beyond simple fitness. We work on all three levels of your existence: the Sthoola sharir (physical body), Sookshma sharir (energy and emotions), and Karana sharir (your core self). Whether you are struggling with hormonal imbalances like PCOS, thyroid issues, or acute spinal pain, our approach targets the root cause rather than just managing symptoms.
Our Therapeutic Approach
We integrate traditional Hatha and Vinyasa flow with targeted yoga therapy. For those with physical limitations, we utilize wall rope traction to decompress the spine, creating necessary space for disc issues and sciatica relief. For detoxification and deep tissue release, we incorporate Moxa cupping, which uses herbal heat to improve circulation far more effectively than standard techniques.
Specialized Care
- Women's Health: Our prenatal yoga focuses on gentle pelvic opening, while our programs for PCOS and thyroid management combine pranayama with specialized asana sequences.
- Pain Management: We offer 1-on-1 sessions specifically for conditions like frozen shoulder and neck stiffness, where we provide manual adjustments and acupressure therapy.
- Mental Clarity: Our sessions include Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) and Trataka (candle gazing) to help regulate the nervous system and reduce anxiety.
We operate out of our Janakpuri studio, providing an environment that values consistency over intensity. You do not need to be perfect to start. You only need to show up and make the effort.
