When I started Ayelet, my vision was to create a safe haven where children feel heard, wanted, and free to be themselves. In this video, I share the story of how that vision became a reality.
About The Ayelet Story
When you walk into our BTM house, you won't see children sitting in rows waiting for instructions. You will see them choosing their own work, handling real materials like glass cups, and learning from each other in a mixed-age group. We started with three children in 2017, and today, that same commitment to following the child remains our daily practice.
Our Foundation in BTM Layout
Ayelet was born in 2017 from a clear, simple vision: to create an authentic Montessori space where children feel heard, wanted, and secure. We chose a quiet, green lane in BTM 2nd Stage to build this house because we believe children need a calm environment to focus. What began as a small room with three students has grown into a thriving school, but we have been careful to keep that 'family feel' intact as we expanded.
Why We Follow the Child
'Follow the child' is often used as a marketing term, but for us, it is a daily, observational practice. It means we don't have a one-size-fits-all curriculum that forces every child to learn the same thing at the same time. Instead, our directresses observe how each student interacts with materials—whether it is the Pink Tower, the Bead Chains, or practical life tasks like pouring and cleaning. We then adjust our guidance to support their specific curiosity and developmental pace.
Preparing for What Comes Next
Many parents worry that an authentic Montessori approach might make the transition to formal schooling difficult. We see the opposite every year. Because our children develop independence, problem-solving skills, and a genuine love for learning, they move smoothly into CBSE, ICSE, and IB curriculums. We equip them with the social skills and academic foundations they need to succeed in any environment.

Our parents are deeply involved, whether through orientation sessions, birthday 'Walk Around the Sun' celebrations, or regular updates on their child's emotional and social growth.
